Broadway this post office, custom house and courthouse was built between 1931-1932 and opened in 1936. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places on Mar. 18, 1999. Postmarked Sep 17, 1938 with a one cent stamp. Message on back: Louisville KY, Sept 13 - 38. Dear Florence. It has been such a long time since hearing from you. I do hope work and not illness is the cause of your silence. I am becoming a more ambitious, I think. This summer has been such a trying one due to the humidity in the air. Although we are still having fair weather, the trees are shedding their leaves and my flowers are almost gone. As a rule I had lovely flowers until frost which usually comes late in October. Write when you can - Love Adilyn. To: Miss Florence Leaming, (Brookline, Mass. P.O. Box 116) Gen. Del. Asbury Park. N.J.</text>
