This buyilding was the thrid Post Office building in Yazoo CIyt. It was built in 1910 at the corner of Main Street and Broadway as the result of Senator John Sharpe Williams efforts. Yazoo City had a major fire in 1904 which destroyed the Post ofice building on South Main and most of the downtown area. The Post Office was moved to a location on Mound St from 1904 until 1910. The building was demolished in the early 1960s to make way for the new Delta National Bank. $20,000 was designated for the cost in 1908.
