Description

Post office and government building, Jacksonville, Fla. No. 1041, Constructed of Tennessee marble, it survived the 1901 Jacksonville fire that destroyed 146 blocks and 2,368 buildings; however, most of the court records were lost. The U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida met here until 1933. Razed in 1948
