Description

U Post Office and Custom House, Pensacola, Fla. No. A-5320. Located at 223 South Palafox Street. Work began in 1884 after an 1880 fire destroyed the prior customs house. The building was abandoned about 1932. It was used as a post office, customs house and courthouse. Postmarked 1913 with a one cent stamp. Message on Back: Mornin. Hello Charlie. How are you and Emma. Expect the weather is cold where you are. Just now is cooler than common. Have you got your corn all husked yet. Got here last Thursday in the evening. All ok. It is nice here.
