Description

Post Office, Elizabethtown, KY-2, No. 21357. This city, the county seat of Hardin County, is situated in Severn's Valley on the southern slope of a chain of knobs known as Muldraugh's Hill. Since the valley's discovery by John Severn in 1779, it has gown into an industrial and trading community. Built in 1931 and since converted into the Hardin County history museum in Fall 2003, it is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
