Description

US Post Office, Court house and Custom house in Louisville, Kentucky. No. V69. No. 45720. This building was among the first recipients of artwork commissioned by the Treasury Relief Art Project. In 1935, artist Frank Weathers Long painted ten murals depicting regional themes. The interior was renovated in 1936, 1950 and 1958. Postmarked Jun 8, 1945 with a one cent stamp.
