Description

Post office and U.S. Court House, Greensboro, NC. No. A1605. Occupied in 1987. The land for the building was secured on May 1, 1883 for $13,000. A new postal facility was built in 1966 but this building still stands and still houses a station of the Greensboro office. Postmarked Sep 27, 1909 with a one cent stamp. Message on back: Dear Josephine, your card came before I left home & was appreciated. I too was sorry you didn't get to come to see me this summer. I am back at school now and hard at work.
