Description

U.S. Post Office and Court House, Chattanooga, Tenn. No. 27600N. Built in 1932-1933. The Post Office and Courthouse was the last major work by architect Reuben Harrison Hunt. Located at 900 Gerogia Avenue the building was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1980. In 1981 it was renamed for a GSA Administrator, Joel 'Jay' W. Solomon. It serves as the US District Court for the Eastern District of Tennessee.
