Crossitt Library and Post Office, Memphis, Tenn. No. 10408. Memphis's first library opened at the corner of Front and Monroe in 1893. Memphians fell in love with the grand building. During the next 25 years it became the most photographed building in the city, appearing in more postcards than any other landmark.
