Cositt Library and Custom Hosue, Memphis, Tenn. No. A - 69852. Memphis's first public library opened at the corner of Front and Moroe in 1893. Memphians fell in love with the grand building. During the next 25 years it became a major landmark and the most photographed building n the city, appearing on most postcards than any other landmark.
