Description

KA 10, U.S. Post Office and Government Building, Asheville, N.C., No. 90540. The U.S. Post Office and Courthouse buildign was built in 1929. The building is currently occupied by the U.S. Courthouse and other government agencies, including Social Security Administration, the U.S. Forestry Commission, the U.S. Attorney, teh U.S> Marshalls, teh FBI and others. Situated upn a high mountain table land 2300 feet above the sea, and commanding a sweeping panorama of mile high mountains., Asheville occupies perhaps the most beautiful setting of any city in America. The drifting clouds touching the summits of the mountains and the many days of sunshine, have given tothe Asheville region its distinctive title "The Land of the Sky."
