Description

U.S. Post Office and Court House, Florence, S.C. No. C-12. No. 10783. Natural Color Post Card. Built in 1906 and addition added in 1935. This post office, federal building and courthouse served as a center of government for more than 70 years. It housed congressional and federal offices and the federal court. Florence, the Magic City, located in the center of the most fertile part of the state, is a city of fine home, lovely gardens, shaded streets, playgrounds, splendid hospitals, fine churches, schools, public library, museum, city park, air port, golf club, and farm women's market.
